2011

Da Verm

Established in 2011, from an old theatre in near Kennedy Town, Da Verm was born.

We created the first full facility rock climbing gym in Hong Kong. From bouldering, lead climbing, and top rope.

It was here where we first introduced rock climbing to the public masses as a regular sport. We had transformed an extreme sport to an suitable activity for all to enjoy.

From here we moved to bigger and bolder ideas…

2017

Verm City

Going 5 times bigger than our previous gym, we set our sights for bigger and higher walls.

With our second gym, we introduced the fun climbing system, Clip N’ Climb to the public. Changing the climbing game again for a younger generation. We also installed the first national standard bouldering wall system in Hong Kong.

Designed and built by Entreprises, we collaborated with their team to see what we can bring to the rock climbers in Hong Kong. We were also the first gym with the augmented wall system in Hong Kong. Giving rock climbing a fun and interactive new twist.

However our ideas don’t stop here.

Our next step brings about more technological changes…

2022

Vermily NFT Membership

With the Vermily NFT Membership, Verm City aims to change how climbers can represent themselves as our members. Our NFT is not just a piece of art, but rather a membership that allows the holder to be identified as a member.

Traditional memberships can only be used by one person and have very strict policies on pausing or discontinuing memberships. With the blockchain technology, our members that are moving away can transfer or re-sell their membership however they like.
